Original Caption: April 22, 1965 — Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti read a newspaper on arrival in Paris today from Italy, where yesterday at court ordered them to stand trial on bigamy charges arising from their proxy mexican marriage in 1957. Ponti was marreid 18 years ago and later legally separated, but Italy does not permit divorce though Ponti got a mexican divorce before the remarriage. Italy refuses to recognize that divorce and the remarriage.
